The softball program captured the Pac-12 Championship with a 5-0 victory over Arizona State on Friday at Levine-Fricke Field. However, winning the league crown wasn't the biggest triumph for the Golden Bears on Friday.

The program hosted a Strike Out Cancer event in conjunction with Friday's contest. The Bears donned pink uniforms along with pink hair ribbons during the game and helped raise money for the American Cancer Society through general fan donations and proceeds from the sale of pink hair ribbons.

Junior infielder Jordan Wallace's grandmother, Fannie, who has defeated cancer twice in her life, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to her granddaughter.

On this Mother's Day, we honor Jordan's grandmother Fannie. You can watch Fannie's ceremonial toss at the Bears' Strike Out Cancer Event.
