Men's Golf NCAA Championship update

All five Cal players birdied hole number one as the Golden Bears played the hole at 12-under par (12 birdies, three pars) over the three days of stroke play at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.

Coming down the stretch run of the third and final round of stroke play on Thursday afternoon, the Bears are 14-over par for the tournament and two-under for the day. Cal is eight shots behind leader Alabama (+8) and five shots ahead of a pair of teams currently tied for the eighth and final match play spot in Kent State and Liberty (+19). The Bears are playing with both of those squads today.
