Men's golf has clinched a spot in the match play portion of the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship for the first time in school history.

The Golden Bears are in the clubhouse currently tied for fourth place at the end of 54 holes of stroke play with a 19-over par total of 584 and only two teams still out on the course that can still catch or pass the Bears.

Cal fired its best round of the tournament today with a three-over par 287 team score - Max Homa (68, -3), Pace Johnson (72, +1), Michael Kim (73, +2), Joël Stalter (74, +3), Brandon Hagy (75, +4).
