Baseball opened the week of Golden Bear action with a 13-8 victory over Washington State in a rare Monday matinee at Evans Diamond. Cal improved to 26-22 overall heading into a three-game series with nationally-ranked UCLA this weekend.

The Bears reached double digits on the scoreboard for the first time since an 11-8 victory at Nebraska on March 9.

Senior left fielder and lead-off hitter Danny Oh led Cal offensively with a 5-for-5 day at the plate. He reached base all six times, drawing a five-pitch walk in the eighth. The school record for hits in a single game is six, shared by four people - Cliff McClain vs. Saint Mary's (1948), Mike Hodgins vs. UCLA (1974), Frank Mattox vs. USC (3-13-82) and Lance Blankenship at Arizona State (4-26-86).
