The women's soccer team faced Stanford in an exhibition match at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, Calif. Saturday evening. While The Cardinal came away with the 1-0 win thanks to a goal in the 49th minute, it was Team Breezy that highlighted the day.
Team Breezy is the support network that the several thousand people in attendance on Saturday night showed Brianne "Breezy" Bochenek, a nine-year-old girl who was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her left thigh bone. All proceeds and donations from Saturday's special event went towards assisting Breezy and other local families facing cancer. Before and after the match, both teams posed for pictures and signed autographs for all in attendance.

Head coach Neil McGuire and sophomore Grace Leer talked about the importance and success of Saturday's event.
