CAL-ARIZONA QUICK RECAP

In a wild Pac-12 game between Cal and Arizona, the Wildcats escaped with the victory thanks to a game-high 23 points from senior guard Kyle Fogg. The loss for the Bears was their first at Haas Pavilion in this season, snapping a 17-game home winning streak overall, dating back to last season.

Cal (17-6, 7-3) erased an 11-point halftime deficit, storming back with three consecutive three-point plays at one point to tie the game at 72 on a Justin Cobbs dunk with 3:41 to play.

However, Fogg answered with a three-pointer with 1:23 left and the Wildcats (15-8, 6-4) held off the charging Bears at the end.

Senior Harper Kamp led Cal with a season-high 22 points, his highest total since scoring 33 at home against the same school in triple overtime a year ago.

Fellow senior Jorge Gutierrez was active with 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals. Sophomore Allen Crabbe chipped in 15 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.

It was a spirited contest throughout with both teams battling hard up until the end. The fans, dressed in gold for #GoldOutHaas tonight, were the loudest they have been all season.

Cal will need the same support when it welcomes Arizona State to Haas Pavilion on Saturday at 2 p.m.
