The Bears secured their first Pac-12 victory of the season, improving to 10-5 overall and 1-2 in the league. Oregon State fell to 10-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference with tonight's loss.
Cal took a 15-point lead into the halftime break (39-24) before Oregon State trimmed the advantage to eight points with 14 minutes to play. The Bears re-gained control with a 9-0 run to extend their advantage and cruised to the 17-point victory.
Gennifer Brandon and Talia Caldwell joined Gray in double figures with 11 points each in the contest. The Bears, ranked No. 2 nationally in rebounding margin, controlled the glass with a 49-39 advantage in the contest. Caldwell led Cal with nine rebounds on the night.
Cal shot 50 percent from three-point range in the game, finishing 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.
The Bears took advantage of Oregon State's 15 turnovers in the game, scoring 26 points off turnovers in the contest.
Ali Gibson led the Beavers with 16 points in the game.
