The Cal seniors have never lost to Stanford on the Haas Pavilion floor and they made sure of that today with a 69-59 victory over the Cardinal in front of a sold-out, raucous arena. The Bears out-scored Stanford, 37-26, in the second half to pull away late en route to the double-digit victory.

Senior Jorge Gutierrez led the charge with 11 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, while sophomore Allen Crabbe chipped in 18 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists.

The Bears pulled ahead late and capped a mini-run with a Robert Thurman emphatic slam dunk with 4:01 to play which gave Cal an 11-point lead.

The Bears led by as many as 13 on a Justin Cobbs free throw with 52 seconds left en route to the win.

Stanford, known for their rebounding prowess, was out-rebounded 41-31 by the Bears tonight thanks in large part to Gutierrez's work on the glass.

More importantly, Cal stayed perfect at home, at 14-0 and remained atop the Pac-12 standings as we head into the second half of the conference season.

Arizona is up next on Thursday as we GOLD OUT HAAS!
