In an action-packed first half, No. 12 Ohio State leads the California women's basketball team, 45-40. The Buckeyes shot 56.3 percent from the field as a team, led by Samantha Prahalis' 11 points.
Sophomore forward Gennifer Brandon led the Bears with a double-double in the opening half that consisted of 12 points and 12 rebounds in just 14 minutes of action. Junior center Talia Caldwell poured in 11 first-half points for Cal.
The Golden Bears controlled the glass in the first half with a 20-13 rebounding advantage, thanks to Brandon's 12 boards.
