Pia Halbig has helped move the Germany team up to third place after the second round of the World Amateur Team Championships in Buenos Aires. Halbig shot a five-under 67 in the second round. She is in a tie for fifth at -6 for the tournament. Her teammate, Sophia Popov, is also in the top-ten, tied for eighth after shooting a four-under 68 in the second round.
After bogeying two, Halbig went bogey-free the rest of the round, carding six birdies for her 67.
Here are the scoring rules for the team scores:
Each team has two or three players and plays 18 holes of stroke play for four days. In each round, the total of the two lowest scores by players from each team constitutes the team score for the round. The four-day (72 holes) total is the team's score for the championship.
