Cal Tied for 10th after First 18 Holes of Windon Memorial Classic

The Cal men's golf team is tied for 10th place through the first 18 holes of action Sunday at the Windon Memorial Classic. The event is being hosted by Northwestern at the 7,067-yard par-71 North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Illinois. Cal shot a 17-over par 301 that has the Bears 16 shots behind the one-over par 285 team score posted by first-round leader Michigan.

Ben An had the best Cal score in the first round, firing a two-over par 73 that is tied for 21st but only four shots behind the two-under par rounds of 69 posted by co-first round leaders David Erdy (Indiana) and Lion Kim (Michigan).

Others playing for Golden Bears include Eric Mina (74, +3, T32nd), James Coré (77, +6, T51st), Max Homa (77, +6, T51st) and Michael Weaver (80, +9, T80th).

The first 36 holes of the 54-event are being played Sunday with the day's second round of action now underway. Return to CalBears.com later in the day Sunday for a recap and complete results.
