Joanne Lee begins competition today (Aug. 9) at the Charlotte Country Club, competing at the U.S. Women's Amateur.

About the 110th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship:
The United States Golf Association (USGA) conducts 13 national championships annually, including the U.S. Women's Amateur, U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and the U.S. Senior Open.

The championship concludes on Sunday, August 15. Play begins on Monday, August 9 with 36 holes of stroke-play qualifying. After the first two days, the field of players will be cut to the lowest 64 scores. Starting Wednesday, August 11, contestants play match-play with the champion being determined by a 36 hole match-play final on Sunday.
