Cal sophomore Max Homa is tied for second place after Monday's first day of action at the 110th U.S. Amateur Championship being played August 23-29 at Chambers Bay Golf Course. Homa is one of nine golfers that finished at three-under par, shooting a 69 at the par-72 Home Course.
