With Eric Mina the first Golden Bear player scheduled to tee off from the first hole at 12:30 p.m. EDT/9:30 a.m. PDT, Cal has moved up one spot into 14th place on the team leader board before taking a stroke on Wednesday. Heading into second-round action, Cal has also gained one stroke on the eighth and final match-play qualifying spot with its five-over par score during Tuesday's opening round now only four shots back of the current eighth-place team Washington.
