With all of Cal's golfers having nine or fewer of their 36 holes left to play during Monday's action, the Golden Bears are currently in eighth place at the 2010 Pac-10 Men's Golf Championship.
Although the Bears' current seven-under par mark is 20 shots off the lead currently held by Stanford, Cal does have two golfers currently on the leaderboard's top 10 with Brandon Hagy and Eric Mina tied for eighth at six-under. Both players fired career-best marks in round one this morning with Mina pocketing a 65 (6 birdies, 12 pars) and Hagy shooting a 66 (7 birdies, 9 pars, 2 bogeys). Mina is even-par through the first 12 holes of his second round, while Hagy has been one-under through the first 12 holes second round to catch him.
Michael Weaver is only one stroke behind both Mina and Hagy at five-under and tied for 13th heading into his final six holes of the day but the Bears don't have another golfer on the leaderboard until James Core (50th-T, +4, thru 15). Chad Vivolo (56th-T, +7, thru 12) and Evan Derian (59th, +10, thru 15) are also representing the Golden Bears in the 60-player field.
