KUNSHAN, China – Sophomore Roser Tarrago scored two goals to help Spain blast Russia 19-6 in the consolation bracket of the FINA World League Super Final on Saturday.

Tarrago, an MPSF All-Newcomer pick in 2014, won a Silver Medal with the Spaniards at the 2012 Olympics.

Spain outscored Russia 10-1 in the second half to pull away.

Incoming freshman Emma Wright, meanwhile, helped Canada beat Brazil 8-5 in another consolation bracket game. Wright will join Cal’s program as soon as her obligations with the Canadian National Team are complete.

Tarrago and Wright will go head-to-head for the second time during the Super Final when the teams meet for Fifth Place on Sunday. Spain edged Canada 6-5 on the first day of group play.
