This past weekend was extremely exciting at the MPSF Tournament! While we may have lost to Stanford in the semifinal game, we were able to win our last game and finish third! And what a win that was! I was so nervous for sudden death overtime, but not for long! Dora scored the game-winner just 30 seconds into the period. Her goal was also possibly one of the greatest goals I have seen. Top corner, bar-in, is pretty hard to beat especially since she just legged up and shot the ball.

Third place is the second-best finish the team has had in school history at the MPSF Tournament and we qualified for NCAAs! Most of the team has never been before, and we are ecstatic to be going!

The Bears were also well-represented with the MPSF end-of-the-season accolades. Dora Antal was named MSPF Newcomer of the Year and was named to the All-MPSF First Team and All- Newcomer Team! Dora was also joined by fellow freshman Roser Tarrago and Anna Illes (Nusi) on the All-Newcomer Team. Nusi also was an All-MPSF honorable mention pick. And rounding out the honors was Senior Ashley Young, who was named to the All-MPSF Second Team! Congratulations to these ladies for their superb efforts throughout the season!

The team is busy with schoolwork as we finish the last week of the semester. After we get through the rush, we travel back down to USC for NCAAs!!! GO BEARS!
