Ten Golden Bears Earn Pac-12 Womenís Rowing All-Academic Honors

Camilla Gardiner earns first-team laurels for the second-straight year

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The Pac-12 Conference honored 10 Golden Bears on its all-academic squad announced on Monday. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point and be a significant contributor.

Three Golden Bears – sophomore Cara Bohmann, and juniors Camilla Gardiner and Vanessa Gerber – earned first-team all-academic honors by the league. Gardiner was a first-team selection for the second-straight season. Gerber was a second-team selection in 2013.

Sophomores Charlotte Passot and Sarah Schwartz, and junior Maddie Wolf were second-team all-academic selections. Wolf, an honorable mention pick in 2013, was recognized for the second-straight year. 

Seniors Ellie Byrd and Greer Uu, junior Lindsay Meltz, and sophomore Kendall Chase were honorable mention all-academic selections. Meltz and Byrd received recognition for the second-straight season.

Cal won a National Championship in the varsity four and placed second overall as a team at the NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Championships this past weekend in Indianapolis, Ind.
