By Cal Athletics on Sat, August 24, 2013

Well over 3,000 fans turned out Saturday for the first -ever Golden Bear Day presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control, as fans got to mingle and get autographs from over 300 student-athletes from a variety of Cal sports teams.

Players from football, men's basketball, women's volleyball, baseball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's swimming, track & field, men's and women's gymnastics, lacrosse, field hockey, men's and women's water polo and men's crew were on hand during a sun-splashed day in which fans were able to show their support of Cal athletics while student-athletes were able to express their gratitude for their fan base.

The Cal band and spirit squad also performed, while Oski made his way through the crowd to take pictures.

Some of the teams had an interactive approach. The women's gymnastics team had a mat set up for kids to practice their tumbling techniques with the athletes. Field Hockey players passed it around and volleyball athletes played pepper.
