#2 California (78) vs #7 USC (59) - Post Game Notes

TEAM NOTES
•California improves to 28-2 overall, setting a new program-record for wins in a season. The 2007-08 and 2008-09 teams both won 27 games with identical 27-7 records.

•California improves to a program-best 16th consecutive victory, the longest winning streak of the season for the Bears and the current longest winning streak in the Pac-12.

•California advances to the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals for the seventh consecutive season.

•California evened it's all-time conference tournament record to 12-12 and 1-1 vs USC.

•The Bears set a new program best for rebounds in a conference tournament game with 53 boards, surpassing the 52 rebounds the team pulled down against USC in the 2009 semifinals (March 14, 2009).

•The Bears also surpassed the 2012 team's 24 free throws made against Colorado for most free throws in a Pac-12 Tournament game. California went 25-of-34 from the line Friday.

•California has now led at the half in 26 of 30 games this season with its (37-22) lead over USC, and the Bears are (25-1) in those games - the lone loss coming to Stanford at Haas. The Bears did not lead against Duke (trailed, lost), Oregon State at home (trailed, won) or in either game against Colorado (1st Meeting - tied, won; 2nd Meeting - trailed, won).

•California opened the game on an 11-0 run, not allowing a USC point for the first 4:20 of the game until Cassie Harbers hit a jumper at the 15:40 mark.

•Both teams were held scoreless over the final 2:51 of the first half with Cal making its lost shot at 5;07 and USC making its last shot at 2:51. However, the drought did not hurt the Bears, who led 37-22 at the break.
