With the 75-69 loss at UCLA, Cal moves to 8-5 overall this season and 0-1 in the Pac-12

Cal is now 3-2 in Pac-12 openers under head coach Mike Montgomery. Both conference-opening losses have come on the road. The Bears dropped an 82-68 decision at Stanford on Jan. 2, 2011.
With 21 points vs. UCLA, junior Allen Crabbe posted his third-straight 20-point game. It was his eighth of the season and 21st of his career. Crabbe leads the Pac-12 in scoring at 20.9 points per game.
Crabbe moved past John Coughran (1,183 points from 1971-73), Ayinde Ubaka (1,194 points from 2004-07) and into 22nd place on Cal's all-time scoring list with his total against UCLA. The junior now has 1,202 career points in 78 career games.
With 11 points and 10 rebounds, junior Richard Solomon recorded his second career double-double. His first double-double came against Hartford during his freshman season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
After out-rebounding UCLA, 45-37, Cal has now out-rebounded 11 of its 13 opponents this season, including its last five opponents. The Bears have recorded 40 or more rebounds in nine contests.
