KANSAS CITY, Mo. - California junior guard Allen Crabbe was named a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) First Team All-District selection on Tuesday. The junior, who was recognized by the group for the second-straight year, will now be considered for All-America honors by the NABC. Crabbe was one of 242 student-athletes from 24 districts to be recognized by the group.

Crabbe, the Pac-12 Player of the Year, was the conference's regular-season scoring champion this season. He scored 607 points, good for seventh-most in a season in school history. He completed his junior season with 1,537 career points. The total ranks 10th all-time at Cal. Crabbe is the Pac-12's active career scoring leader. He completed his junior season with an 18.4 points-per-game average.

The junior also ranked among the league leaders in three-point field goal percentage (fifth, 1.9), free-throw percentage (eighth, .813), defensive rebounds (10th, 5.1) and overall rebounds (19th, 6.1). His 64 three-pointers tied for fifth on Cal's single-season list. The junior ranks third on the school's career three-point field goals chart with 209 through his first three seasons in Berkeley. He ranks second on the Pac-12's active career three-point field goals list.

The Golden Bear was also named a Third Team All-American by The Sporting News and was selected to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District team earlier this month. It is the second-straight NABC All-District honor for Crabbe, who was a second-team selection by the group last season.

He guided Cal to a 21-12 overall record and second-place finish in the Pac-12 regular-season standings with a 12-6 mark in league play in 2012-13. The Golden Bears earned their third NCAA Tournament selection in the past four seasons, advancing to the round of 32 where they were eliminated by No. 4 seed and nationally-ranked Syracuse, 66-60.

Crabbe was one of five first-team selections from District 20, representing the Pac-12 Conference schools. He was joined on the District 20 squad by UCLA's Shabazz Muhammad, Arizona State's Jahii Carson and Arizona's Solomon Hill and Mark Lyons.
