Cooking With the Bears
BERKELEY - Members of the California men's basketball team recently spent an afternoon learning how to properly preprare nutritious meals that will benefit them on the court and in their everyday lives.
Under the direction of Sports Nutritionist Suzanne Nelson, ScD RD and head men's basketball strength & conditioning coach Nicodemus Christopher, the Bears engaged in a great hands-on session of cooking techniques in the kitchen. Each member in attendance got a chance to help prepare a lasagna that the group enjoyed that evening for dinner.
From using the right amount of ingredients in daily cooking to proper eating habits overall that will benefit them in recovery from workouts, the group learned a great deal in the class.
