Recap |  Box Score

• With the 72-64 victory at USC, Cal improved to 9-5 overall and secured its first Pac-12 win of the season to even its league mark at 1-1.

• The win was the Bears' third-straight against the Trojans. Cal defeated USC twice last year, 53-49 at home and 75-59 in Los Angeles.

• The Bears improved to 132-120 all-time against the Trojans and 57-84 in games on USC's home court.

• With 27 points, junior Allen Crabbe recorded his fourth-straight 20-point game. The guard scored 23 vs. Prairie View A&M, 27 vs. Harvard and 21 at UCLA in his three previous games. He achieved the feat once before as a freshman with 26 points at Oregon State, 24 against Stanford, 21 vs. USC and 20 against Mississippi during his first year with the Bears.

• It was Crabbe's ninth 20-point game of the season and 22nd of his career.

• Crabbe scored 11 straight points for the Bears at one point in the second half against USC.

• Crabbe's total against the Trojans moved him past Doug True (1,215 points from 1977-80) and into the top-20 in school history in career scoring. He now sits at No. 20 with 1,229 career points in 79 career games. Next on the list is last year's Pac-12 Player of the Year, Jorge Gutierrez with 1,232 points.

• Crabbe completed the game a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line, marking the seventh game this season he was perfect from the line. The eight free throws made in a game were the most since the guard converted nine against CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 13.

• Senior Robert Thurman recorded a career-high eight rebounds against the Trojans, besting his previous high of seven achieved twice before. The forward recorded seven of his eight rebounds in the first 14 minutes of the game.

• Junior Jeff Powers converted a pair of three-pointers. It was his first game with multiple three-pointers since Dec. 11, 2011 when he had two against Jackson State at Haas Pavilion. Powers finished the game with six points.

• Junior David Kravish posted three blocks in a game for the third time this season. It was the sixth time this season the forward recorded multiple blocks in a contest. His career-block total in a game is four recorded at Utah on Feb. 12, 2012.
