Postgame Notes: Cal-Arizona State

Cal's 77-69 victory is the Golden Bears' second victory over a top-10 opponent in the past three games - a span of eight days.
The victory over No. 7 Arizona is the highest-ranked opponent the Golden Bears have defeated since March 8, 2007 when Cal beat No. 3 UCLA, 76-69, in overtime in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament in Los Angeles.
It is Cal's first road victory over a top-10 team since Jan. 31, 2008, when the Bears defeated No. 9 Washington State, 69-64, in Pullman, Wash.
Cal is now 2-0 against top-10 opponents this season, also defeating No. 10 Oregon, 58-54, on Feb. 2.
The Bears are 2-2 in their four games against nationally-ranked opponents this season, also facing No. 13 Creighton (L, 79-64) and No. 18 UNLV (L, 76-75).
Cal improved to 14-9 overall and 6-5 in the Pac-12 Conference.
It was Cal's first win at Arizona since an 83-77 victory on March 5, 2009. The Bears had lost their previous two games in Tucson.
Head Coach Mike Montgomery moved into a tie with Washington's Hec Edmundson (1921-47) as the fourth-winningest coach in Pac-12 Conference history with his 266th conference victory in the win at Arizona. Montgomery owns a 266-141 career record in the Pac-12 in his 23rd overall season in the conference between Cal and Stanford
Montgomery has won six of his last eight games against Arizona in Tucson, dating back to his career at Stanford. He has won two with the Golden Bears and four with the Cardinal in his last eight trips to Tucson.
The win over the Wildcats also snapped a three-game losing streak by Cal in the all-time series with Arizona. The series is now 55-29 in favor of Arizona.
Junior guard Allen Crabbe reached the 30-point mark for the second time in his 88-game career with 31 points at Arizona. The total is two shy of his career-high of 33 against Pepperdine earlier this season.
Crabbe moved past Row Fisher (1,382 points from 1988-91) and Ansley Truitt (1,384 points from 1970-72) and into 13th place on Cal's all-time scoring list with 1,385 career points in 88 career games
His 31 points was the most by an individual against Arizona this season by seven points (Stanford's Dwight Powell had 24).
Crabbe recorded his 12th game of 20 or more points this season and 25th of his career.
Crabbe has averaged 22.5 points (90 total points), 6.8 rebounds (27 total) and 4.0 assists (16 total) in four career games against Arizona.
With 19 points in the second half at Arizona, Crabbe has now scored 17 points or more in the second half in six games this season.
Crabbe matched his season-high with four three-pointers. He also had four three-pointers against Utah, Pepperdine and CSU Bakersfield.
Crabbe and Justin Cobbs (21) scored 20 or more points in the same game for the fifth time this season. Cal is 4-1 in games with both Crabbe and Cobbs record 20-point games.
The Bears shot a season-best 58.8 percent (30-of-51) against Arizona. It is their best shooting performance since Jan. 14, 2012 when Cal shot 59.6 percent (34-57) against Utah.
Cal's 30 field goals tied for the most in a game this season. The Bears also recorded 30 field goals against Oregon State, Colorado, UCLA and Pepperdine.
Crabbe's 12 field goals was the most by an individual this season and the most since Feb. 6, 2012 when Justin Cobbs had 13 field goals against Oregon.
Cal's 19 assists tied for the second-most this season. Cal posted 25 assists against Oregon State.
