  • Cal finishes its season with a 21-12 record. The Bears are 20-18 in their history the NCAA Tournament and 4-8 in second games in NCAA play.
  • Cal held opponents to less than 40 percent shooting in six of its last eight games. Syracuse shot 39.1 percent Saturday night.
  • Allen Crabbe finished with eight points to give him 607 points on the season, which ranks seventh in school history. He has a career total of 1,537 points, which is 10th at Cal.
  • Crabbe made two three-pointers to move up to a tie for fifth on Cal's season list with 64. He also holds the No. 2 (83 in 2012) and No. 7 (62 in 2011) positions.
  • Richard Solomon set career highs with 22 points and 14 rebounds vs. Syracuse. The 14 rebounds were a high for a Cal player this year; David Kravish had 13 vs. both UCLA and Creighton.
  • Solomon also reached double figures in back-to-back games for the first time since UCLA Feb. 14 and USC Feb. 17. For the two NCAA Tournament games, he averaged 16.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg.
  • Robert Thurman, who was 6-for-6, from the floor vs. UNLV Thursday, made his first three shots against Syracuse before his first miss. Over his last 10 games, Thurman has made 22-of-30 from the field.
  • Freshman Tyrone Wallace finished the game with 12 points after totaling just 7 in his previous three games.
  • With 2 blocks, Cal extended its school season record to 154.
