Collegiate Baseball Honor

AS A JUNIOR (2012):

- Named 2012 first-team preseason All-American by Baseball America and second-team preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association

- Was selected as one of 50 players on USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award Watch list as the nation's top amateur baseball player

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011):

- Named 2011 Pac-10 Player of the Year, only fourth player in Cal history to earn honor
- Member of the 2011 Houston Regional All-Tournament Team
- Batted .332 (88-for-265, 9th in Pac-10, team-best .348 vs. Pac-10) with 14 doubles, two triples, three home runs and a team-leading 44 RBI (8th in Pac-10)
- Led the team with nine stolen bases (9-for-11)
- First in the Pac-10 with 88 hits and third with 115 total bases
- Had an 11-game hitting streak from May 20-June 6 (19-for-51, .372, 3-2B, 3B, five RBI)
- Started the season with an 11-game hitting streak (20-for-49, .408, 4-2B, HR, 12 RBI)
- Was 15-for-44 (.341) in the postseason with a double and six RBI
- Had an RBI June 23 vs. Virginia and went 2-for-3 with an RBI June 21 vs. Texas A&M in the College World Series
- Was 3-for-5 with an RBI June 12 vs. Dallas Baptist in the Santa Clara Super Regional
- Went 9-for-24 (.375) with a double and three RBI during the Houston Regional, getting a key RBI in the ninth inning and then scoring the winning run in the 9-8 victory over Baylor June 6
- Was 5-for-13 with two doubles, two home runs and four RBI May 7-8 at Oregon State
- Had eight hits in the April 10 doubleheader at Arizona, going 4-for-5 and 4-for-6, including a triple in game two
- Went a career-best 5-for-5 with a double, home run and a career-high six RBI March 8 vs. Santa Clara
- Batted .363 (29-for-80) with runners in scoring position

AS A FRESHMAN (2010):

- Earned Freshman All-America honors in Collegiate Baseball, was first-team All-Pac-10 and was named to the 2010 Norman (Okla.) Regional All-Tournament team
- Was the Bears' leading hitter with a .373 average, third-best in the Pac-10
- Ranked in the Top-10 in the conference in doubles (fourth, 21), triples (fifth, 4), runs (fifth, 55), hits (sixth, 81), stolen bases (eighth, 13) and total bases (eighth, 119)
- Recorded 37 RBI with a .548 slugging percentage and a .427 on-base percentage
- Led team with 28 multiple-hit games
- Was 5-for-9 with two doubles and two RBI in the Norman Regional
- In the last two weeks of the 2010 campaign at Oregon and at the NCAA Regional hosted by the University of Oklahoma was 13-for-21 (.619) with five doubles, four RBI and 18 total bases
- Went 3-for-5 with a triple and RBI May 10 at Washington State
- Was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI May 1 versus Oregon State
- Went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI March 13 at Rice
- Was 2-for-4 with a triple and first collegiate home run (three-run) March 11 at Rice
- Batted .354 (23-for-65) with runners in scoring position
- Started all 54 games (31 at third base, 18 as designated hitter, five in right field) as a true freshman

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:

- Was a 2009 High School All-American, as well as both the San Mateo County and West Catholic Athletic Player of the Year, leading his team to the Central Coast Section title
- Selected first-team all-state by Cal Hi Sports and MaxPreps, ending his high school career as the Serra High School record-holder for career hits (152)
