BERKELEY - Cal's volleyball program will host three instructional camps this summer with an emphasis on skill improvement and position-specific development. The camps are run by head coach Rich Feller and his staff.
The Youth Skills Camp runs July 8-11 from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. and is for boys and girls ages 8-14. Instruction will cover all skills - attacking, setting, passing, defense, serving and blocking. The Volleyball Position Camp is July 15-18 from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. for boys and girls ages 12-17 and focuses on extensive training at each position, with individual instruction in the morning and group and team activities in the afternoon.
It is designed for players with some experience at the intermediate or advanced level. The Volleyball Elite Camp is July 22-25 from 8:45 a.m.-8:30 p.m., also for boys and girls ages 12-14. It is designed for players that have had some experience at the advanced level. Campers will receive advanced training techniques and feedback to improve all of their skills.
