By Cal Athletics on Tue, April 15, 2014

BERKELEY – Riding a 10-match winning streak, 10th-ranked California will close out the regular-season home schedule against Sacramento State on Thursday, and then – with the Pac-12 title on the line – the conference-leading Golden Bears will end the regular season on Saturday in the Big Slam at No. 5 Stanford. Prior to the 3 p.m., nonconference match against the Hornets (7-15) on Thursday, the Bears will celebrate the careers of Kelly Chui, Alice Duranteau and Anett Schutting as part of Senior Day at the Hellman Tennis Complex. Cal (16-4, 9-0 in the Pac-12) then plays the Cardinal (16-1, 8-1 Pac-12) at noon on Saturday.

If Cal wins Saturday’s match, it would claim the conference team championship as well as the Pac-12’s automatic berth into the NCAA team tournament.
