WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The California softball team will play 16 games that will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks, the conference announced Tuesday. Cal’s 2014 Pac-12 Networks schedule includes nine home games televised live from Levine-Fricke Field, including the entirety of the Arizona State and Washington series in Berkeley.
Cal’s first televised games begin in the opening weekend of conference play when the Golden Bears’ face the Cardinal in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15 beginning at noon.
The Bears get a short break from the small screen with five non-conference games and an away series at Oregon State before returning home to Berkeley to host Arizona State from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6. All three games (Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.) will be televised.
A pair of Cal’s matchups vs. Arizona will also be televised -- Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 13 at noon.
Games at Oregon on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18 at 4 p.m., and against UCLA at noon on Sunday, April 27 in Berkeley round out the Bears’ eight-game April broadcast schedule.
The Bears’ final six contests will all be televised, which includes a series at Utah (Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m., and Friday May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at 5 p.m.) before Cal wraps up its regular season with a home series vs. Washington on Thursday, May 8 at 3 p.m., Friday, May 9 at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 10 at 11:30 a.m.
