BERKELEY - The California Golden Bears men maintained their first overall ranking in the latest edition of the Track and Field News dual meet rankings. The Bears are 9-0 in dual meets in 2014, after claiming comfortable victories this past weekend over New Mexico, Utah State and Oklahoma in Berkeley at the Brutus Hamilton Open and Challenge.

At 9-0, this marks the conclusion of Cal's dual meet season, as a variety of other schools are set to wrap things up this coming weekend. 2014 also marks the first time that the Bears have been undefeated in dual meets since 1993, when they finished 12-0.

The Bears will be in action this weekend at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford on Sunday, May 4 in Palo Alto.

To be ranked, a team must compete in one or more dual meets (defined as a scored meet between four or fewer teams). Teams are ranked on wins and losses, marks, and strength and depth of dual meet schedule. Teams are rewarded for taking dual meet competition seriously.
