Kastler Leads Bears on 3-meter at Zone E Meet

Sophomore finishes 14th among 58 divers in competition.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomore Anne Kastler led the Bears on the 3-meter springboard at the NCAA Zone E meet Friday, finishing 14th with a score of 577.75. The competition wraps up Saturday with qualifying on the platform.

Kastler posted a score of 295.80 during the preliminary rounds to earn her spot in the final. She added 281.95 points during her additional six dives, which put her in 14th among 58 total divers.

In addition to Kastler, Kahley Rowell was 25th (265.55) and Sara-Lina Boushakra was 37th (240.90).

On Saturday, Rowell will be aiming for her third consecutive qualification for the NCAA Championships on platform. She was fifth on the event at nationals in 2012 and eight on platform last year.
