BERKELEY – Registration is still available for the annual Pigskins & Pearls charity event presented by Cal football taking place this Saturday at Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium. Fans can register at the door Saturday beginning at 4 p.m. for the popular event designed for female fans to learn more about the sport and the team they love with all proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Oakland. The cost is $50 per person with a total discount of $25 for each group of five that registers together.

Registration and check-in is at the North Tunnel just inside Gate 1 of Memorial Stadium. Parking options include University lots in the surrounding area and street parking (see suggestions on parking/transportation options below). Please visit pt.berkeley.edu for more information. For additional information or questions on Pigskins & Pearls, call the Cal football office at 510-643-8395.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from an on-field clinic or interactive chalk talk sessions, both featuring Cal football coaches and players. Participants selecting the on-field clinic should be dressed in workout apparel and tennis shoes.

The evening begins with a social hour on the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza featuring light appetizers and a cash bar and concludes with a talk from head coach Sonny Dykes. All participants will also receive a Pigskins & Pearls hat, t-shirts and goodie bag.

“I’m looking forward to Pigskins & Pearls and am excited that it is kicking off the 2014 season,” said event organizer Kate Dykes. “We are hoping to exceed what we raised last year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland. They are an organization that does so much for our local community. We hope you can join us at this year’s event and make it even bigger and better than last year.”
