BERKELEY – Cal will open its 2014 training camp at Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium on Monday, Aug. 4 and will conclude with Golden Bear Day presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control on Saturday, Aug. 23 (2-4 p.m. PT). The free event that wraps up training camp will be held at the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza and concourse level. along with the Cal football Twitter (@CalFootball) and Instagram (cal_football) social media accounts will provide extensive coverage of the team’s 2014 training camp. Fans can join in the conversation using the hashtag #calfbtrainingcamp.

The second annual Golden Bear Day is a public event that gives thousands of Cal fans an opportunity to meet members of the Cal football program as well as student-athletes and coaches  from several other Golden Bear teams. Among the wide array of activities scheduled to take place are …

  • Appearances from the entire Cal football team and over 300 student-athletes representing many of Cal’s 30 sports
  • Autographs (first 2,000 fans receive autograph cards)
  • Pom Poms (first 1,000 fans)
  • Appearances by Cal Spirit squads featuring Oski
  • Fun Zone for kids with face painting, photo station, temporary tattoos and much more
  • Concessions stands and Cal Bears Shop
  • Cal Athletics tickets available for purchase

Cal opens its 2014 season at Northwestern on Aug. 30 (2:30 p.m. CT/12:30 p.m. PT, ABC/ESPN2) before hosting Sacramento State in the first of six home games at Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium on Sept. 6 (Noon PT, Pac-12 Networks).

The Bears will also play Pac-12 opponents Colorado (Sept. 27), Washington (Oct. 11), UCLA (Oct. 18) and Stanford (Nov. 22) in Berkeley before concluding the 2014 regular season by hosting a non-conference game against BYU on Nov. 29.

Cal’s home contest against Oregon at Levi’s® Stadium (Oct. 24) will be the first-ever collegiate football game at the venue and be televised by FOX Sports 1 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. PT.

Cal has Pac-12 road games at Arizona (Sept. 20), Washington State (Oct. 4), Oregon State (Nov. 1) and USC (Nov. 13), with the final road game of the regular season against the Trojans an ESPN Thursday night contest (6 p.m. PT).

Location – Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium is located on Piedmont Avenue in Berkeley between Bancroft Way and Hearst Avenue, adjacent to the Simpson Center for Student-Athlete High Performance at 2227 Piedmont Avenue. Parking in the vicinity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to read all signs at each parking location for further important information. Recreational Sports Facility Garage – Located on the north side of Bancroft Way between Dana Street and Ellsworth Street.

Street Parking – Paid and limited street parking may be available on streets near Memorial Stadium.

Underhill Garage – Located on the corner of Channing Way and College Avenue.

Witter Lot – Located near the corner of Centennial Drive and Stadium Rim Way.

Public Transportation – Public transportation is highly recommended when visiting Berkeley. There are multiple public transportation options that lead to Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium. BART has a station in downtown Berkeley about one mile west of the venue. Visit, or for more information.
