California looks to make it two in a row to start the season with a 12 p.m. matchup against No. 4 UConn at Stanford's Varsity Turf. The game is scheduled to air live on the Pac-12 Networks. Check back at this page regularly for updates.

11:46 a.m. - The Bears will be the home team today. Starting for Cal tonight are: GK (Hendrickson), D (Swartz, Goni, Gibbens), M (Marrazzo, Swensen, Lee, Elmitt), F (S. Earle, A. Earle, O'Reilly). 

11:54 p.m. - Captains Meeting. For the Bears are Allie Swartz, Jordan O'Reilly and Shannon Elmitt. Ten minutes until we begin this Pac-12 Networks televised game.
12:05 p.m. - And we're off. California wearing the gold uniforms today and will look to start the season 2-0. 
12:15 p.m. - Nicole Henrikkson nearly puts the first score on the board, but her shot is saved.
12:22 p.m. - UCONN strikes first blood with a goal by Marie Elena Bolles unassisted in the 16th minute. 1-0 Huskies.
12:27 p.m. - Two penalty corners for UCONN but Courtney Hendrickson saves shots on both attempts.
12:33 p.m. - Coach Onstead calls a timeout. 9:49 remains in the first half.
12:39 p.m. - A three shot flurry in front of the goal ends with a SCORE by Jordan O'Reilly to tie the game 1-1! Assisted by Shannon Elmitt.
12:45 p.m. - HALFTIME! Cal and UCONN are tied 1-1 thanks to a goal from Jordan O'Reilly in the 30th minute (assisted by Shannon Elmitt). 
12:58 p.m. - The second half is undereway.
1:10 p.m. - Ten minutes into the second half and we're still tied at 1-1
1:15 p.m. - The Bears with a 5 minute advantage thanks to a UConn yellow card.
1:18 p.m. - Cal nearly takes the lead with a nice ball from Andrea Earle.
1:20 p.m. - UConn calls a timeout. The game is still tied 1-1 with 13:13 remaining in the second half. Shots (UConn 9-5), Corners (UConn 4-0), Saves (Cal 5-4)
1:27 p.m. - UConn scores a goal to take a 2-1 lead with 10:41 remaining in the game. Chloe Hunnable scored a tap-in from t a cross from Olivia Bolles.
1:31 p.m. - Cal survives three consecutive penalty corners to remain in the hunt for equalizing.
1:38 p.m. - One minute remains.
1:39 p.m. - FINAL. UConn takes a 2-1 victory over the Bears. We return to Maxwell Family Field this Friday.
