BERKELEY - The California men's and women's cross country programs have unveiled their 2013 fall schedule as announced by head coach Tony Sandoval.
The Bears will compete in six invitationals leading up to the Pac-12 Men's and women's Cross Country Championships, held in Boulder, Colo. on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Ca's first competition of the season will take place in San Francisco at the University of San Francisco Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 31.
A select group will travel to Charlottesville, Va. on Sept. 21 to compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational, one of the nation's premiere regular-season events of the fall.
Following the invitational in Virginia, Cal will remain in Northern California for the next month. The Bears will compete in the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28, the Sacramento State Jamboree in Sacramento on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara on Saturday, Oct. 19.
A select group of individuals will compete in the Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Indiana State, in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The annual Doc Adams Invitational will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, in Davis, Calif.
This season's NCAA West Regional Qualifying meet will be held in Sacramento beginning Friday, Nov. 15, with Sacramento State serving as this year's host.
The 2013 NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will be held at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, Nov. 23, with Indiana State serving as the host this year. The men will compete in a 10,000-meter race with the women competing in a 6,000-meter race. This will be the 10th time since 2002 the NCAA Championships have been held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Cal returns an experienced men's and women's squad in 2013, highlighted by All-Pac-12 and NCAA Championship participant, junior Kelsey Santisteban.
