MADRID, Spain – Incoming Cal freshman Kindred Paul scored two goals and fellow freshman Emma Wright added another as Canada advanced to the championship match of the FINA World Women’s Youth Water Polo Championships with a 10-9 victory over Hungary on Saturday.

The Canadians will play the United States in Sunday’s finals.

Wright now has 12 goals during the tournament.

Wright was Canada’s second-leading scorer at last summer’s World Championships. Paul will enroll at Cal once the World Youth Championships are complete. Wright will come to Berkeley as soon as her obligations for the Canadian National Team are finished.
