Geneva, Switzerland – Former Cal men’s golfer Byeong-hun An picked up his first professional win Saturday by capturing the Rolex Trophy on the European Challenge Tour. An (63-69-73-64 – 269, -19) started the day seven shots off the lead but won by three strokes after firing a final round eight-under par bogeyless 64 that was the best round of the day at the Golf Club de Genève.

“This is a great win for Ben,” Cal head coach Steve Desimone said. “We’re very happy for him. His best days of golf are ahead of him and the Cal golf family is smiling tonight.”

An played for one season at Cal in 2010-11 before turning professional. He became the youngest player to ever win the U.S. Amateur at the age of 17 in 2009 prior to his arrival at Cal.
