BERKELEY - Cal baseball seniors Devon Rodriguez, Kyle Porter and Derek Campbell were all instrumental in the Golden Bears' College World Series run of 2011. Video Feature

Rodriguez will forever go down in Cal baseball lore for producing the clutch game-winning hit versus Baylor in the 2011 NCAA Houston Regional. He was named the Houston Regional MVP after leading the Bears back from a 7-1 deficit versus Baylor by earlier hitting a two-run homer in the contest.

After suffering through injuries in 2012 and 2013, Rodriguez returned in 2014 to lead the team in home runs (7) and RBI (34), including a game-winning home run versus San Francisco and a two-home run game at USC.

Porter went 6-0 during his freshman year in 2011, earning Freshman All-America honors after giving the Bears their first CWS series win since 1980 when he defeated Texas A&M, 7-3, in Omaha. Porter had also given Cal a win over Baylor in the Houston Regional.

Due to a series of nagging injuries, Porter struggled to regain his freshman form in 2012 and 2013, but came back this season to pick up six more wins, including defeating Cal Poly on the road, striking out 11 batters versus Utah and shutting out Oregon on two hits last weekend in Eugene. He concluded his Bear career with 15 wins.

Campbell, one of the stars of the Cal Baseball Reinstatement Rap Video, came off the bench as a freshman to replace an injured Tony Renda at second base during the Super Regional and CWS. He thrived in the spotlight, going 4-for-8 in the Super Regional wins over Dallas Baptist and went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the Omaha win over Texas A&M.

In 2013, Campbell got his leg broken playing at Houston only 11 games into the season. He was able to come back for the 2014 season, leading the team with 14 doubles and tying Rodriguez with a team-leading seven home runs.

All three of these Cal baseball seniors shined in the spotlight of postseason play in 2011, and after coming back from injuries, finished their college careers on a high note last weekend in Eugene as the Bears captured the final two games of the series over the Ducks.
