TEMPE, Ariz. – California sophomore Hannah Suh concluded the PING/ASU Invitational with her first career collegiate tournament under par en route to a top five individual finish at the stacked field in the tournament held at the ASU Karsten Golf Course.

As a team, California finished eighth with a spring-best 881 (291-292-298, +17). South Carolina won the tournament at 288-280-285=853 (-11) followed by Arizona State, Washington and Duke in a three-way tie for second at 859 (-5).

Suh shot an even 72 Sunday to finish the 54-hole tournament tied for fifth individually with a 4-under 212 (71-69-72), besting her previous collegiate best 216 (E) that she recorded in her collegiate opener at the WSU Cougar Cup on September 25, 2012. The top five finish is the third of her career and first of the season for the San Jose native.

Suh remained steady throughout the day by hitting par on 14 of 18 holes. Twice she was able to fall under par with birdies on the par-4 3rd and par-5 17th, but she followed each birdie with a bogey on the subsequent hole.

Senior Nicola Rössler was one of just 10 competitors to shoot under par Sunday after carding a 2-under 70 – her team-leading sixth round under par this season. Rössler finished the tournament tied for 27th individually with a 219 (75-74-70, +3) after carding four birdies on the day. After sitting 1-over through nine holes, Rössler bounced back with a 34 on the back nine, after birdying the 10th, 15th and 16th holes.

Carly Childs tied for 37th at 222 (70-75-77, +6) with Jo Ee Kok following with a 75-74-79=228 (+12) and Morgan Thompson carding a 81-84-85=250 (+34).
