WHO TO WATCH WEDNESDAY
The Bears own a .308 team batting average, paced by Cheyenne Cordes’ .459 average. Cordes also leads the team with nine doubles, 30 runs scored and 27 RBI. Danielle Henderson has also batted in 27 runs and leads Cal with nine homers. Freshman Kylie Reed owns a stellar .411 average and tops the Bears with 46 hits. Over ten games, Alex Robben holds a .462 average (6-for-13). Stephanie Trzcinski leads Cal in the circle with a 2.61 ERA and a 4-3 record. Trzcinski has struck out 37 batters and owns one shutout in three complete-game performance. Nisa Ontiveros holds a 3.17 ERA with a 9-5 record in 17 games after 75 innings of work and 39 strikeouts, while Katie Sutherland-Finch is 6-3 with a team-leading 47 strikeouts in 63.1 innings.

Cal’s trip to Corvallis turned out to be one long weekend of rain, but the Bears still found a bright spot in a dominant 13-3 win over the Beavers on Sunday morning during a break in the storm. Freshman Katie Sutherland-Finch earned a win in front of her home crowd, and all but one player in the starting lineup registered a hit. Every single Bear in the starting lineup reached base, highlighted by a three-run homer from junior Cheyenne Cordes and seven runs at the top of the seventh inning.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
The 11-19 Tigers host the Bears after losing their last three games to Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge and No. 23/24 Stanford. Pacific owns a .271 team batting average, paced by Taylor Petty’s .365 average and 31 hits. Cassidy Gustafson leads the team with four homers and 20 RBI, while Megan Foglesong has scored a team-high 20 runs. In the circle, Tori Shepard owns a 3.79 ERA and a 4-8 record over 81.1 innings with 41 strikeouts and a .279 opponent average. Dani Bonnet holds a 6-5 record with a 4.27 ERA and a team-leading 55 strikeouts over 82.0 innings pitched.
Cal hosts its first home Pac-12 series with the No. 7/6 Arizona State Sun Devils coming to town starting Friday, April 4 at 3 p.m. The Sun Devils return to Levine-Fricke Field Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. to finish out the series. The entire series will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
