WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The Pac-12 announced today that senior Milan Ristic has been named the Pac-12 male outdoor track athlete of the week. Ristic, a senior transfer from UNC Asheville, set a new legal personal best at the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays last week in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 13.71 in the prelims, qualifying third. His time was just one hundredth off of the Serbian national record and shattered his previous personal best of 13.88 set in 2012. The time is also the fourth-fastest in collegiate track this season and the second-fastest in the Pac-12. He went on to finish third in the 110-meter hurdles final, posting a wind-aided (+2.1) time of 13.59. Additionally, Ristic was a key contributor to Cal’s 4x100 relay that qualified ninth among a field of 36 teams with a time of 40.24 (17th in the country), the fastest run by any Cal team this season. He then helped the team to a sixth-place finish in the event final with a time of 40.31.
