BERKELEY – The California Golden Bears track & field team will have eight student-athletes in action on Friday and Saturday at the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. The Bears will be represented in the Clyde Littlefield 4x100-meter relay, men’s 110-meter hurdles, the men’s and women’s 100-meters, the men’s triple jump as well as the men’s and women’s long jump on Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The finals for the 100-meters and 110-meter hurdles will then take place on Saturday. The meet is being broadcast live on The Longhorn Network, and live results are available here.
The 4x100-meter relay team is comprised of freshman Khalfani Muhammad, redshirt seniors Tom Blocker, Dash Oliver and senior Milan Ristic. That prelim will be the first event for the Bears on Friday; starting at 7:35 a.m. PT. Ristic will then compete in the 110-meter hurdles, while Muhammad, Blocker and Oliver will run in the 100-meters. On the women’s side, redshirt senior Malaina Payton and senior Charnell Price will represent the Bears in the 100-meters.
In the field events, redshirt sophomore Jonte Grant will be competing in the triple jump at 10:30 a.m. PT, while Payton and fellow redshirt senior Hammed Suleman will follow in the evening session in the women’s and men’s long jump, respectively at approximately 5:30 p.m. PT.
The finals for the Clyde Littlefield 4x100-meter relay will be held at approximately 11:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, followed by the men’s 110-meter hurdles, as well as the 100-meters for both the men and women later in the day.
