Berkeley -- Senior midfielder Connor Hallisey had quite the week for the No. 18 Golden Bears, who went 2-0-0. Hallisey totaled seven points in two matches with two goals and three assists. He was also named Pac-12 Player of the Week and leads the conference in points with 11 in just four matches.

Friday in a 6-1 win over Cleveland State, the Granite Bay, Calif. native scored two goals and posted two assists. He had a part in the first three goals of the game for the Bears, assisting on senior forward Stefano Bonomo’s first two goals and scoring when Bonomo set him up with a square ball inside the area in the 59th minute. Hallisey added his second in the 67th minute when he dispossessed a Cleveland State defender and finished past the helpless Vikings goalkeeper Nick Ciraldo. On Sunday against Gonzaga, Hallisey continued his hot start to 2014, which has seen him post 11 points in just four matches, by assisting on Jose Carrera-Garcia’s game-winning 76th minute goal. The senior received a pass down the line from captain Seth Casiple and played a low, driven cross to the penalty spot where Carrera-Garcia was able to direct his shot into the far post.
