Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week
BERKELEY -- Golden Bear Kyle Kragen was named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the week and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after registering career highs of six tackles and 1.5 sacks (-16 yards), as well as tying a career-high with 1.5 tackles for loss (-16 yards) in Cal’s 30-24 victory at Washington that improved the Golden Bears to 4-0 for the first time since 2007 when they opened 5-0. He also had his first career forced fumble and pass breakup. Kragen was Cal’s first Pac-12 Player of the Week since Trevor Davis was named the conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 6, 2014. He was also Cal’s first Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week since Kameron Jackson and Steve Williams won the honor in back-to-back Cal victories against UCLA (Oct. 6, 2012) and at Washington State (Oct. 13, 2012).
