BERKELEY - On the eve of its game against Fresno State this past Saturday in Berkeley, the California men's basketball team traveled to the Children's Hospital & Research Center of Oakland to spread some holiday cheer with some outstanding kids at their annual holiday party.
The team enjoyed their interaction with the children, signing autographs, taking photos and sharing some laughs during their Friday evening visit.
"It is equally as important for us to give back to the community as much as it is for us to compete on the court," junior forward David Kravish said. "Without the support of the community, we are just playing on a basketball court. Coming over here to visit with these children and hopefully puting a smile on their face means the world to us just as much as it hopefully does for them."
The Bears' trip to the Children's Hospital & Research Center of Oakland around the holidays has become a tradition that everyone involved looks forward to each year.
