Football Ticket Renewals Underway

Special prizes and prices for those to take advantage of early bird sign-ups

Season-ticket renewals for the 2014 Cal football season have begun and include a host of new benefits, including discounts, prizes and a special payment plan for Golden Bear fans throughout California Memorial Stadium.

Season-ticket holders can purchase their seats using the personalized website URL emailed earlier, by logging into their renewal application online by clicking here, or by calling their Gold Standard relationship manager at (800) GO BEARS (462-3277) and pressing option 2. Ticket holders who renew before the early bird deadline of Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at 11:59 p.m. PT will receive a discount of $25-45 off each season-ticket owned depending on section (not applicable to already discounted faculty, staff and RSF season tickets). In addition, early bird participants will be automatically entered to win 20 prizes in 20 days. Among the possibilities are men’s basketball courtside seats, $250 in concessions vouchers, a trip for four to the Aug. 30 Cal-Northwestern game in Evanston, Ill., and pregame field passes to a home football game.

To make it easier to pay for tickets, all season-ticket holders have the option to divide payments into three interest-free installments: 33% at the time of renewal, 33% on March 14, 2014, and the balance on April 30, 2014.

20 Prizes in 20 Days
Beginning Monday, Dec. 16, there will be a drawing for 20 prizes in 20 days for ticket holders who have renewed. Among the items being offered are:

  • Dec. 16 - 2014 Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio Tickets
  • Dec. 17 - Four Men’s Basketball 4-Game Plan Tickets
  • Dec. 18 - $250 in Bear Bucks concessions vouchers
  • Dec. 19 - Two 2014 Vizio BCS Championship tickets
  • Dec. 20 - Two Men’s Basketball Courtside Seats

One winner will be chosen daily, and those who don’t win are automatically entered into the next day’s prize drawing.

Early Bird Renewal Benefits
All Cal football season-ticket holders who renew by the early bird deadline of Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, receive a discount off each season ticket owned, depending on which section seats are located. Reserved season-ticket holders receive at $45 discount, GoldZone season-ticket holders receive a $26 discount, and New Alumni season-ticket holders receive $25 off. Payment Plan
To make it easier to pay for season tickets, all season-ticket holders have the option to divide payments into three interest-free installments. This includes the ticket renewal cost, additional seats, parking and/or donation (if applicable). By following the online renewal steps, Cal Athletics will automatically charge your credit card in the following fashion:

  • 33% at the time of renewal
  • 33% on March 14, 2014
  • 34% on April 30, 2014
2014 Schedule
Cal will host six home games in Memorial Stadium next fall. The two non-conference home games have been previously announced - vs. Sacramento State Sept. 6 and vs. BYU Nov. 29 – and the remainder of the schedule will be released by the Pac-12 Conference just after the start of the New Year. Among the Pac-12 opponents coming to Berkeley will be Stanford, Washington and UCLA.

Ticket holders will also have the ability to order Cal-Oregon tickets within the renewal application for the Oct. 24 Friday game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. More information about the contest and why it is being held off-campus can be found here.
