The 2013-14 California men's swimming team, undefeated in dual meet competition this fall with wins over Pacific, Indiana and Wisconsin - and ranked No. 3 in the country - will take its talented squad to the prestigious AT&T Winter National Championships, Dec. 5-7 in Knoxville, Tenn.
Coach David Durden's Golden Bears will travel a full squad to the Winter Nationals, which is sponsored by USA Swimming and not only features some of the top collegiate talent and top collegiate teams like defending national champion Michigan, but some of the world's best swimmers as well. Among the competitors will be Cal's own Nathan Adrian, gold medalist in the 50 free at the 2012 London Olympics.
The format for the Winter Nationals is similar to that of the 2014 NCAA championships, heldMarch 27-29 in Austin, Texas, giving the Bears a gauge as to how they stack up against the nation's top competition at this point of the season.
Cal men's swimming and diving won the 2011 and 2012 NCAA team titles, and was the national runner- up in 2013 after going undefeated in dual meets (7-0) and winning the Pac-12 team title.
