Cal Earns Fourth Overall Seed in NCAA Tournament

Golden Bears set to host the winner of Northwestern/Bradley on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. PT

BERKELEY – The California Golden Bears earned the fourth overall seed in the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament, the NCAA announced on Monday. Cal (12-4-2, 6-3-1 Pac-12) received a first round bye, and will host the winner of the first round matchup on Thursday between Northwestern (10-7-3, 1-4-1 Big 10) and Bradley (13-6-2, 3-2-1 Missouri Valley Conference). The second round tilt will kick off from Edwards Stadium at 1:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Nov. 24.

The Bears played the Northwestern Wildcats to a 0-0 draw in September of 2011 in their last meeting, and they have not had any previous meetings with the Bradley Braves.

Tickets are on sale on the day of game only at the Edwards Stadium ticket booth. Tickets can be purchased for just $10 (adults) and $5 (students/seniors/youth) and only cash will be accepted.
