Bears Back In National Rankings At No. 22

Cal In Top 25 For Second Time This Season

BERKELEY – Cal’s women’s volleyball team moved back into the AVCA Top 25 on Monday, checking in as the No. 22 team in the country.

This marks the second time the Bears (13-6, 6-4 Pac-12) have been ranked this season. Cal was No. 23 in the poll released on Sept. 9 after beginning the season 5-0 and beating then-No. 19 Creighton. The Bears have received votes in every poll this season.

Cal has defeated three ranked teams this season – Creighton, then-No. 16 UCLA and then-No. 20 Oregon.

The Bears host No. 4 USC on Friday night at 6 p.m. and UCLA on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Haas Pavilion. Both matches will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.
