MORAGA, Calif. – The three-day Saint Mary’s Invitational ended with California’s Kelly Chui and Cecilia Estlander getting work in on the singles and doubles courts at Korth Tennis Complex

Chui was vying for a spot in the Red Singles back draw final, but the senior lost in her semifinal to the Gaels’ Audrey Leitz, 6-3, 6-4. Estlander, a junior, took part in the singles round robin, losing to Danielle Flores – another Gael – 6-0, 6-4, in her only match.

The two Bears teamed up in the doubles round robin and beat Cal Poly’s Ane McPike and Jennifer Cornea, 8-2.

Cal returns to action in the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships from Oct. 18-22 in Stanford, Calif.
